Vuly Ultra 2 vs Thunder 2

This is the main decision inside Vuly's range: a conventional coil-spring trampoline or the leaf-spring design.
The Ultra 2 uses coil springs around the edge of the mat, covered by padding. The Thunder 2 uses leaf springs mounted away from the jumping area, so there is no exposed steel spring beside the jumper. Both meet the Australian Trampoline Standard AS 4989:2015 and both are round.
The Thunder 2 also carries a longer frame warranty at 10 years against 5, a higher weight rating at 140 to 150 kg against 120 to 130 kg, and an XXL size that is larger than anything in the Ultra 2 range. The Ultra 2 costs several hundred dollars less and offers a smaller S size for tighter yards.
Choose the Ultra 2 if you want a conventional trampoline at a lower price, or need the compact S size. Choose the Thunder 2 if you want the leaf-spring design, the longer frame warranty or the larger sizes.

Quick verdict
The Thunder 2 is the better-specified trampoline on almost every row, and the leaf-spring design is the reason most people choose it. The Ultra 2 remains a sensible buy for a smaller yard or a tighter budget, and it meets the same standard.
